Free Robot Building and Info Session

In celebration of The International day of the Girl Child, Rolling Robots is holding a free robot building session and open house on Wednesday, October 11th, from 4pm-7pm. This event is designed to recognize the awesome girls and women of Rolling Robots as well as to hopefully introduce more young people to our STEM programs.

Girls Win

Rolling Robots prides itself on being a very inclusive environment and a huge proponent of women in STEM. Our female competition team members, instructors, mentors, and staff would all love for you to drop by the Open House to hear about their experiences and see how easy and fun it is for you to get involved.

Time and Location:

10/11/2017 from 4pm-7pm at all three of our main store locations (Glendale, Palos Verdes, and West LA).

Event Activities:

Attendees will get a chance to build and drive a VEX IQ Robot (this is the same robotics system used by our world championship teams). In fact, our 7700W all-girls VEX IQ team from West LA was the first of our elementary school level teams to qualify for the VEX IQ World Championship! There will also be a tour of our Robotics Workshop, as well as a meet-and-greet session with some of our female competition team members, including some from our VEX Robotics World Championship Round Robin Finalist team. We will also be using this event as an opportunity to recognize our outreach team of STEM Ambassadors by granting 6 presidential volunteer service awards.

Breaking News --- Sammy Kits have arrived at Rolling Robots! so now we will also be building a Vex IQ Sammy that you can take on your travels with you. Take pictures with him and post on social media with hashtags . #FindSammy @RollingRobots #omgrobots
